# Preparatory Reading Lists These books have been the ones that shaped (also because they resonated with my principles) how I function and after years of 'sharing' them with people over casual conversation, I realised that in future, I shouldn't just make the list public but also use these books as a platform for training/educating teams that I lead - letting it be the basis for discussion, alignment and further refinement to our mental and operational framework. I'm also motivated to share this because I've been told that perspectives I have about Leadership and Management which I consider commonplace/trivial have been helpful (*I've probably trivialised them because they're views I've organically formed through regular reflection and experience*) I intend to add and remove books from these lists over time as I try to keep the number of books to a practical quantity and as my views/values evolve *Some books are listed multiple times as I found them relevant across different subjects. Empty lists mean they're important but I don't yet have a recommendation* ## On Leadership - *Extreme Ownership* by Jocko Willink - *The Dichotomy of Leadership* by Jocko Willink - *Start With Why* by Simon Sinek - *Leaders Eat Last* by Simon Sinek - *Team of Teams* by General Stanley McChrystal - *One Mission: How Leaders Build a Team of Teams* by Charles Goodyear and Chris Fussell - *Compassionate Leadership* by Rasmus Hoegaard and Jacqueline Carter - *The First 90 Days* by Michael Watkins (**This is especially good for role transitions**) ## On Team Management - *Measure What Matters* by John Doerr - *Dream Teams* by Shane Snow - *Holacracy* by Brian J.
