# Expired Relationships An expired relationship to me refers to the relationships that have gone stale - where they've been reduced to a chat group on a messenger app where you exchange seasonal greetings (heck sometimes even that doesn't happen) for a ton of years. What is the purpose of such lines of communication? To prove to each other that one is alive? To what end?
